Hi, I’m Jiaying!
I think and write about cinema, immersive storytelling, and the often hidden forms that shape how art and media are made, shared and experienced.
I hold a PhD in Film and Television Studies from the University of Glasgow. My research engages transnational audiovisual cultures through embodied, affective, and sensorial approaches. I’m currently based between Hong Kong and Singapore.
I’m the founder of Singapore Online Film Database, a digital resource a digital resource mapping Singapore’s film landscape.
